Car is a gt but I installed the bilstein suspension from a gtb for better handling. Car is waxed every month and washed weekly. New front drop links and polyurethane exhaust hangers. Car has the odd bumper scuff and a couple of tiny car park dings but it is 14yrs old. Interior is in excellent condition bucket seats as standard. Reconditioned solenoid box with silicone piping, various silicone pipes in engine bay, sports air filter. Selling due to changing to a diesel, the car will do 30mpg if you stay on the first turbo, but if you go into power mode and on to the second turbo all hell breaks loose and fuel economy is reduced. It has only done 99,000 miles and hasnt been ragged about like most other subarus dont get me wrong it has been fun but it certainly hasnt been driven stupidly. never mind ebay. I can vouch for the vehicle and its description as being accurate, as I had the fortune to be able to borrow it when we had all that snow (and ice - remember black ice wednesday?) at the beginning of the year. It handled as much snow as Yorkshire could throw at it without any problems whatsoever. It goes without saying then that it is permanent 4 wheel drive with a low and high ratio box and manual gear box and is excellent in adverse weather conditions. The car is fitted with a towbar and electrics which are in good working order. It also has roof rails which have had home made roof bars attached to carry step ladders. These can be removed easily if necessary. It is very tidy for its year with an unmarked comfortable interior, below average miles(88k) and a long MOT (July 2011). It is due to run out of tax today and will be put on a SORN until it is sold. The car was fitted with four new Firestone tyres which have hardly worn at all and are like new. It has just had new rear brake pipes fitted. There is a slight amount of damage to the rear nearside wheel arch which can be seen on the picture and some small flaking of paint on the back bumper. It has power assisted steering, drivers airbag and central locking. There are two keys. There is a radio cassette fitted but this may need some attention because it seems to play Roy Orbison or Shirley Bassey whenever you are in it. (TDK C90 tapes not included in the sale). There also may be an alarm or immobiliser as there is a red light that flashes on the dashboard when it is locked but I stand to be corrected on this. This is a very useful low mileage car that will has the capability to tow or work in poor weather conditions or just be used as a family car with a huge boot to throw all your stuff in. family. The car produces a very responsive 305bhp and torque figures to embarrass super cars. The car has had 2 owners, the last owner for many years, who, credit to him has kept all of the maintenance and servicing perfect and all main dealer, the same main dealer that sold the car on to me as they were full of confidence that the car is 100%. Whilst the miles are higher than average on this car at 124k and in daily use, the miles truly have been built up on motorways as the previous owner seemed to do a lot of commuting in the car. This has certainly not put any mechanical wear on the engine what so ever due to the regular servicing of the car. This really proves itself when heard running as there is no hesitations, no unusual noises what so ever when cold or hot, and when recently rolling road tested, it proved to still be producing full power at over 300bhp. The history with this car is fantastic and complete, receipts are all the same main dealer and amount to thousands upon thousands. The last service was a major, and was done recently, this consisted of belts, brakes, bushes, prodrive suspension, battery, even tyres from main dealer! its had anything and everything required to bring it back to full spec at a cost of over £3000 in 1 visit by subaru. This is fully receipted and itemised. Seeing this receipt gives a clear explanation on how the car feels, handles and drives like a car with quarter of the mileage. There are small marks, stone chips, scuffs and a few light dings on the car which should be appreciated as the car gained its miles on the motorway. there is also some very minor corrosion appeared where the windscreen seal sits on the roof, this was due to a windscreen replacement years ago where the fitter scratched the paint. It is not serious, or worsening at all and will clean up and touch in if required. I wont call it cosmetically mint because im honest, but at the same time, it is straight, never smashed up or resprayed, I can say that the car is mechanically mint and drives the same, and i am reflecting the cosmetic imperfections in my price. My theory is that the car is to enjoy and use, not to get all stressed and upset when the unavoidable chip or scratch happens. The car is a uk car and is recognised as a type uk wrx sti with insurance companies which makes it a little more friendly on the premium, to declare the Prodrive pack is your choice, i do, and it rose my premium by another £86 per year. The car is currently sorn`ed, I can re tax if for you but this will be at your cost. There is nothing at all to hide with the car, It is fantastic, does exactly what an sti prodrive should do, handles beautiful and comes with all previous dealer service history with reciept. This is what sold it to me. Im only selling it because ive put an offer on a new house and need extra deposit money. Failing that i would not be selling, I know i wont find another sti prodrive that behaves a well as this one for less than £9K. The vehicle is in good condition inside and out. The only negative on body work are a couple of small marks on the doors where vehicle doors have been knocked, and small amount of surface rust to bottom of drivers side rear door. The only neg on the mechanical side is the VDC light intermittently illuminates - it was checked in Oct 2009 by main dealer - I was advised it would be a wheel knock sensor? cost about £50 - and to wait for it to go completely - then will show on a test. The light is still intermittent and has not got any worse sometimes will go weeks before coming on again.
