With great regret the time has come to sell my beloved Subaru Impreza as I have bought a diesel for a longer commute (job change).
Have no doubt, this car has a performance level of vehicles costing thirty times as much. 0-60 time is 5 seconds or less, top speed of 157mph, two limited slip differentials, adjustable power control through the DCCD centre diff, and 326mm 4 piston Brembo brakes. The amount of control and grip during cornering is staggering and really inspires confidence no matter what the weather or surface conditions are.
It has full service history, including a recent £900 major service (including timing belts and fuel pump). Six services in four years, plus additional oil changes. The car is always run on super unleaded fuel of Shell Vpower or higher.
The car comes with a complete set of identical winter alloys and tyres (the summer alloys are in fantastic condition with recent tyres Bridgestone Potenza RE050As). The car is currently on its winter alloys & tyres (I might switch to the summer tyres if the sun stays out).
There is an excellent factory security system, Thatcham rated, with anti-hijack system and keycode pin entry. The rear windows are limousine tinted for added security.
The car is fitted with an uprated stainless steel exhaust system manufactured by Milltek Sport, fitted at a cost of almost £1500 and including a sports catalytic converter.
Negative points:
- The winter alloys have been kerbed and chipped over time.
- There are stone chips to the paint on the sides of the car.
- One of the rear brake discs is scored and may need replaced at the next service.
