Subaru Forester all-weather estate car finished in a grey and silver colour combination. This car was first registered in 2003 and appears on the 03 plate. The car comes with an MOT until September of 2012 and has covered a genuinely low mileage of only 64,000 miles and it comes comoplete with a fully stamped service record which can be seen opposite, so the car definitely has been well cared for over the years. . The car being the all-weather version means that it features a wider body kit and has other extras such as heated seats, alloy wheels, climate control, electric windows, towbar, air conditioning, cruise control, remote central locking and many other features. | The exterior of the car is in very good condition as you can see from the images below. The first thing to say is that the car is fully HPI clear on all counts so no nasty surprises for the new keeper. The whole paintwork has a nice shine and there are no real major marks around the car that need mentioning whatsoever. Granted, there are a few marks but at the end of the day it is an eight-year-old car and it really does look very nice indeed. There is absolutely no rust around the car whatsoever and the sides of the car are nice and straight. There may be an odd light scratch here and there and there is a small dent in the passenger-side door but again nothing to worry about. The car has a nice set of alloy wheels fitted and these all have good tyres. | The interior of the car is again in excellent condition. The seats are half leather and part cloth and these are in excellent shape apart from a little bit of wear on the drivers side bolster but nothing major and common on these models. The seats are stain free both in the front and in the back and they have no staining at all to them. The car definitely has been well looked after by its previous keepers. The door cards and dashboard are also in good condition and do not suffer from any major marks at all. The roof lining is nice and clean and so is the carpet and again they do not suffer from any nasty marks. The car is fitted with a CD player and this works as it should do. All the electrics in the car tested worked as they should do apart from the drivers side window. | Mechanically the car is excellent. The engine starts well from hot or from cold and runs very nicely with there being no nasty noises or excessive smoking whatsoever.The car pulls well and there is plenty of power from the engine. The gearbox is excellent and all the gears engage as they ought to both up and down the gear range. The clutch is excellent and it does not slip what so ever. The car holds the road well and there are no nasty noises from the suspension or from anywhere along the drive train. The brakes are very good and bring the car to a stop in a good safe distance. There are no warning lights on the dash and the water temperature gauge sits nicely with the heaters producing nice warm. when it was one year old (2007) and his given superb service, lots of power and very economical. The BRC lpg system is one of the best on the market, it is fitted with a 60L torodial tank in the spare wheel well and is fully UKLPG approved, it has also been fitted with an electronic FlashLube system to give upper cylinder lubrication. We did work on the cylinder heads 18 months ago, both heads were removed and new valves fitted along with new timing belt, pulleys and tensioners, so the engine is in great condition. The car is generally very tidy, with black leather interior, no marks or rips, fully spec`d up with heated seats, A/C etc. The bodywork is very sound, the paintwork is clean and tidy. had this car for two years now and bought it from Cross Roads Subaru in Shipston-on-Stour. Full service history with only one not carried out at a Subaru dealership. Last serviced by T.H White, Cirencester on 18/01/2011. 12 Months MOT included in price. Front discs and pads replaced May 2011. Car includes Subaru AWD with hi-low transmission, heated seats/mirrors, electric panoramic sunroof, cruise control, climate control, Subaru rubber mats, boot liner and Subaru dog guard included in sale. A genuine car that has a few cosmetic marks but is 100% mechanically sound and reliable. A very solid, practical family car. This Forester has been bulletproof and great in the snow. A couple of dings and scratches to bumpers that are consistent with age. Slight wear to drivers seat. Drivers side electric window not working. car on 16/07/2011. In this time, we have had trouble free motoring, accept for replacing 2 front wheel bearings, a new battery. Front nearside and offside roll bar linkage also offside and nearside anti-roll bar rubber mountings which had perished with age. We also purchased new tyres all round. We purchased a tow-bar, as we had designs on towing our caravan, which will be offered seperatly. The car is mechanically perfect, apart from a few age related scuffs, which does`nt distract asthetically from the car. The timing belt was last renewed as far as we can see at 62611 miles. But being as there is a full service history with 15 service stamps in the service history book,which would suggest that if the belt needed to be done again, it would have as standard. The last service being main dealer at 93242, just on acquiring the car. The car is a top of the range, non-import model, with the suede interior, which is in excellent condition (see photos). I think you will have to go a long way to find a similar vehicle, as I did when purchased. These vehicles are bullet proof, if serviced regulary, you can take my word for it, as they are. Anyone interested is welcome to come view, please no tyre kickers or test pilots. This is a private sale. We are between Colchester and Ipswich, approx 10 mins from the A12/A14. It also has Subaru floor mats and boot liner.The car drives well, the engine, turbo, clutch are all good and if it is maintained well I can see it carrying on for many more trouble free miles.The car is scruffy cosmetically, but it is all cosmetic, you can see that it has been well maintained mechanically regardless of cost. It has lived some of the last few years in a rural area so the nearside of the car has light scratches from bushes and verges etc.There are three noticeable dents. All can be seen in the photos. In the boot where it backed it into a hedge, on the front curb side wing (courtesy of someone in Sainsburys car park). This has also cracked the indicator lense and finally a dent in the rear off side wing just below the light. One of the headlamp washers is broken/missing.I haven’t had any of them repaired due to lack of time. They do not affect the way the car drives. They could be repaired without too much cost. I have sourced a replacement indicator unit and a washer head for the headlamp washer. These are included in the auction and just need to be fitted. I had a quote for a used side wing and a boot door, £85 for both and can pass the details to the winning bidder if intrested in replacing these parts. In other words for around £100 you can have the above dents all sorted out.One of the cup holders in the front is broken. The heated seats and the stereo are not working, again have not had the time to investigate and fix.I took the car for MOT a few weeks ago and it passed with no advisories. It pops out of reverse gear while reversing sometimes. It has not caused any problems as you can simply put it back into reverse and carry on. It has a tow bar with full electrics and the rear shocks have been replaced, it is firm and could be a great tow platform. Finally the car has 4 nearly new tyres. Viewing and inspection is welcome. is an automatic transmission. Very smooth transmission and very light power assisted steering make it suitable for anyone to drive, very light and easy. It is a petrol engine and has done just over 104,000 miles, totally trouble free. It has been mega reliable and is fantastic in the snow and ice. Being four wheel drive you will always get home. it is mot`d until September 2012 (went straight through Last year with no advisory notices) and its has just been taxed for a year so you are ready to go until after Christmas!Mod cons - it has a huge electric sunroof, air conditioning, heated seats (great on a cold day!), heated wing mirrors, all round electric windows. very reliable only needing a service at the correct intervals and a new set of discs and pad to the front which has been done in the last three months, any one who buys a Subaru generally already knows a bit or two about these cars, and these are regarded as bullitt proof. The service history is fully stamped with most of the work carried out by Walldonway main dealership although it is due a service in about 2000 miles time. Now, there are a couple of minor niggles, firstly the alloys could do with smartning up as salt has gotten under the laqure and bubbled up, and secondly there is a small dent on the near side front wing, I have tried to high light it in the photo, but its not very noticable, but a full viewing is recommended. Deisel, (check my feedback). At the time a very close friend told me that they had a car for sale, and it might do me for transporting my new dog about, it had been garaged for over a year, only coming out for it`s last mot, it had been Sorned and they had bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee so it was just sitting in there garage not being used, so i though why not, and went ahead and bought it. | The only thing that it needed were a sticking rear caliper sorting out, new rear pads and a good service as it had been sitting , which we have had carried out , at our local garage. | Now a bit about the car, and our reason for selling so soon!!!! | This Subaru is the Japanese spec Forester turbo with lots more power, and was imported from new by a specialist importer in the year 2000, Park Lane of Alton Hampshire, this car was never registered in Japan. | When we put it in for its service we asked our mechanic to give it a good look over to see if there where any more faults that needed addressing other than the items all ready mentioned, it came through with flying colours needing no additional work. | The last mot was August 2011 at 93675 miles, with only 2 advisory notice`s | (Rear Silencer) Exhaust slightly deteriorated | Rear brake pipes slightly corroded | All the tyres have loads of tread and are all the same make (Kumho`s). | General condition of the car is good, there are NO oil leaks or any strange noises from the engine or drive train, the power delivery is brilliant going through the gears, this is a very fast car!!! | The service history is complete up to 49000 miles after that a few bills Cam belt changed at 78000 miles 15/01/2008. | The last owner installed a Kenwood Sterio CD player with Ipod thingy, still have original music system. It has a Scorpion Cat 1 alarm + immobiliser. | Interior is clean and tidy, no ware on seats, Speedo has been converted to MPH, all electrics work ie windows, heater etc all in all very tidy. | Down points | Alloys could do with a refurb. | Nearside Electric folding mirror not working. | General ware and tear to paintwork on car. | A few supermarket dings around the car . | Bonnet scoop has lacquer peel. | Thats it. | I have just put 6 months road tax on the car, so could be driven away. | Now our reason for selling, we have decided to go down to 1 car, and this car is not ecconomicly viable for me to commute every day, if driven hard only 20 mpg, on the motorway around about 30 mpg. Impreza that gives you - Extra Ground Clearance - 4x4 AWD System - Traction Control - Enormous Boot Space + a Huge Amount of Power on tap! Not to mention the fact its much cheaper to insure than an Impreza and with it being a genuine UK model you can get insurance anywhere and parts are easy to find!!!!Now with 6 months Tax!Full service history (timing belt + tensioners done at 89k), Just been fitted with a New Clutch (which cost £600) and the saggy old rear suspension has recently been replaced with new KYB Ultra Shocks + New Springs (this is a common fault on Forester`s and costs over £400 for new shocks and springs alone).The engine starts & runs like a dream and its one very well looked after vehicle that will need nothing for the foreseeable future! The Anti-freeze has also been replaced with a higher concentrate to make sure she is ready for the low winter temps we will be experiencing soon. The tyres are good all round (fronts are nearly new), The bodywork is extremely shiney and rust free as it was Waxoyled last year but it does have the odd age related mark here and there.Brand New Stainless Steel Exhaust (£425) as the old one was starting to blow. Its almost quiet at motorway speeds but gives that traditional "Subaru" burble lower down the rev range that the standard one didn`t. It is also fitted with an Alpine Stereo System - MP3/WMA/AAC/CD which is Memory Stick compatible, Bluetooth Ready and is also fitted with an IPOD cable which runs through to the glove box for safe storage. It has Professionally tinted rear windows to stop anyone eyeing up whatever you have stored in the back as well which is very handy. One of the best things about this 4x4 is the Winter Pack, Heated Front Seats which warm up in less than 2 mins! And the Heated Windscreen to avoid getting steamy windows and cut through the frost / ice on a morning while all your neighbours are scraping away! Sit in the comfort of your heated seat letting the car does the work for you!!!! As well as that it has Electric Windows (Front & Rear), Electric Mirrors, Huge Electric Moon Roof, Folding Rear Seat which almost turns it in to a van!
