LOVELY LOOKING MODEL WITH GREAT SPECIFICATION
Welcome to Trade Car Clearance. All our cars are sold with no reserve! Please click on our me page before bidding and read our terms and conditions.This...>
is an absolutely stunning looking Subaru Impreza 2.0 GX Sport AWD Automatic Sportwagon Estate finished in Black which we think is the nicest colour for these.Very Low mileage with just 1 private owner from new, MoT until February 2013, 3 stamps in the history book and a collection of previous old MoT certificates to support the low mileage.Being the GX Sport model it has a fantastic specification with electric windows and mirrors, alloy wheels, front fogs, integrated stereo / CD player, roof bars etc etc. The car drives very smoothly indeed as you would expect for a car with minimal mileage.Guaranteed 100% HPI clear, it comes complete with 2 keys and all original service books / handbooks etc. The car does not appear to have ever been smoked in or transported pets so no burns or nasty odours. CAP retail price for this car is £3,825 and Glasses say it would sell on a forecourt for £4,162. This one is for sale starting at £100 with NO RESERVE.There are a few age related marks as you would expect on any vehicle of this age and in particular we noticed several tiny scratches on the leading edge of the offside rear door which we have pictured below. These may not bother you or you could have the area professionally corrected by a mobile bodywork specialist for no more than £50. You are most welcome to come and view before bidding if you wish. Overall it is a stunning looking thing and we trust you will love it!If you have any questions please email or CALL on 0773 666 4698 (no text messages please!) | X

smooth auto box with sports mode and snow mode the car has had fitted a full sports stainless steel exhaust system from cat back, all tyres are very good with loads of tread, timing belt was done at 102 k miles, there is a nice CD system with USB connection, everything works, there was some surface rust on the nearside rear arch, I treated it but my paint efforts are rubbish as you can see from the picture, there is no sign of any other rust anywhere. The car is all up together ready to drive away, the interior is clean and no rips or tears anywhere. and is in black graphite. factory immobiliser fitted. Could do with ne carpet on drivers side at some point as worn, and brak pedal rubber is worn and will need a new one soon. Economy apart, the car feels like a sturdy machine and a sure-footed delight to drive. As a base model, the 2.0R, which has been around since the Impreza range facelift last October, doesn't have the gutsiness of the turbocharged WRX and STi with their new 2.5-litre power units, but it does a good workmanlike job. Subaru rather weakly refers to it as "no poor relation" to the other two. I would happily put it a lot stronger. I have also heard it described as a "sheep in wolf's clothing" but that is unfair. It is less powerful but it's also more than £10,000 cheaper than the STi and frankly represents better value, while retaining the singular Subaru style and individual Impreza image built up through world class success in rallying. The four-cam Boxer engine has increased power from the previous version and while it still couldn't be described as breathtaking, the performance is perfectly acceptable. The only jarring element is the rather thin start-up sound which may be distinctively Subaru but belies the quality of what lies beneath the bonnet. I loved the slick and precise manual gearbox, the seats were comfortable yet firm and all the dials, instruments and controls are in the right place and do their jobs without complaint. Perhaps some of the finish could be a little softer and less utilitarian - the inside of the boot lid has no lining or even closure handle - but these are very minor points in an overall fine car. With air-conditioning, CD player, hill holder clutch, xenon headlights with automatic levelling and three-year/60,000-mile warranty, the 2.0R is a more sensible, if tamer, alternative to its beefier brothers. So how did the Highland fuel crisis end? Obviously I made it - but only just. Facing the real possibility of a night in the car I saw the lights of Dalwhinnie in the distance, coasted in and found the village's only filling station just half an hour before it was due to close. I filled the tank to the brim and could have hugged the attendant, had she not been on the other side of a three-foot wide counter and lacking the traditional image of Highland hospitality. I was almost pleased to pay the 95-point-something pence a litre for the total tankful of £52.53. But believe me, it takes on an even more sinister appearance if you find yourself heading north as snow starts to fall, you seem to be the only car on the road and the fuel warning light on your Subaru Impreza glows a menacing warning at you. Yes, it was a silly situation to find myself in but, in my defence, it was partly the fault of the car. I'd picked it up a little while before with a quarter-full tank and as I wanted to get a few miles behind me before dusk I headed off at a rate of knots, thinking I'd fill up on the way. I knew of a BP station about 20 miles ahead so felt confident. As I passed it, the gauge had barely moved so I pressed on and even as I saw Blair Atholl off to my right, it had dipped only slightly so I kept the foot down. Heading into the gloom, I thought I should check the range on the computer and that was when my confidence began to falter. This non-turbo Impreza - like the rest of the range - doesn't come with a trip computer, which has become standard on almost every car in this price range and certainly for those in the performance bracket. So I had no idea how far I could go on what was in the tank or even check the average consumption. But I reckoned on the basis of the slow movement of the fuel needle so far, I should be able to get within shouting distance of Inverness about 70 miles ahead. How wrong I was. Less than ten minutes later, the fuel warning light came on to thumb its illuminated nose at my arrogance. To add insult, the needle decided at this point to perk up - or rather down - from its previously almost static position. I tried to visualise the remaining miles from previous journeys but could only recall an abandoned filling station which in the past would have provided the much-needed gallons. Heading into the darkness and the first flurry of snowflakes I adopted a "thrifty-fifty" style of driving which did nothing more than prolong the agony. The four-wheel drive transmission of the Impreza is undoubtedly first class and proved to be a real boon the following week when I woke to find foot-deep snow between me and the office. But it does soak up the juice and without the on-board computer I can't challenge the claimed consumption figure of around 31mpg, though it certainly didn't feel anything like it. More . . I was looking for a decent car with sub 15 insurance group the non-turbo subaru looks ok but high service costs (i think) I just moved deeps darkest mid wales 2 hours drive on twisties form any sizeable town. I currently own a horrible (but very reliable) honda civic 1.4. A 4 wheel drive not essential but always nice to have in rural location but I want a regular car not a gas monster. Any suggestions for other cars there is the legacy but spec B is too high insurance and less powerful ones look too slow. Fiesta ST and subaru impreza 2.0R sport are what I am thinking at the moment. Budget £6,000-7,000. 21-01-2009, 07:13 PM #2 (permalink) Zak33 HEXUS.timelord. To be honest the roads are all major A and b roads so not too rough on the car nice drives through snowdonia too. Just need a car that's a bit better for the twisty roads. 21-01-2009, 08:34 PM #7 (permalink) chriswood_7 Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Gateshead Posts: 1,485 Thanks: 2 Thanked 7 Times in 6 Posts chriswood_7's system chriswood_7's system CPU: AMD X2 5200+ Motherboard: Asus M2NE SLi RAM: 3GB DDR2 6400 Storage: 1x 120GB + 1x 320GB Seagate IDE Graphics card(s): 512MB BFG 8800GT OC2 PSU: 680W Hiper PSU Case: Thermaltake Soprano w/ Window Monitor(s): 15" HPF50s Internet: 10Mbit Virgin Media Re: Subaru impreza 2.0R sport any good? The Subaru will cost an arm and a leg to service, and for what you get the fuel economy is poor and insurance is high (I think the 2ltr sports are about 140BHP) Personally I think your better off seeking a Honda CRV or something similar. Decent handling on A and B roads, and a damn sight cheaper to run. In my opinion anyway. Maximum power output is a mere 105bhp and that is achieved at 6,400 revs, while pull is also modest at 105lb/ft.Patience is required - standstill to 62mph takes 13.7 seconds - and the engine has to work hard to meet acceleration demands, with a consequent rise in decibels. At the same time, fuel returns aren't wonderful and CO2 emissions are higher than you might expect. But the family lines are all there, including mesh grilles and a little roof spoiler, so you have the image and with the car badged simply Impreza you can fool the neighboursActually, apart from the lack of firepower, the 1.5R is quite a reasonable car, especially at that price, and that's not surprising because of its foundations. The all-wheel drive features a 50:50 torque split front and rear in normal conditions - but sensors can vary this as required - and there's impressive grip and secure handling, helped by a quite low centre of gravity. Once it gets up to speed, the engine cruises quite smoothly. The suspension is of the independent strut type and features anti-roll bars front and rear, braking is via disc brakes and has four-channel ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, while steering feel is speed-related. A 10.4m turning circle makes the car easy to handle in tight situations.Seating is comfortable and there's reasonable roominess for passengers throughout the car. The front sports seats offer height variation, but there is height-only adjustment for the steering wheel, which is disappointing. The upholstery, repeated in the door panels, is smart enough and gives a visual lift which the rather dull dash can't, despite a metal-effect control panel. But switches and dials are easy to handle and at least the plastics look durable, necessary in a sports wagon. In that active-family context, cargo space is moderate with the back seats in place and the rear suspension intrudes rather, but fold the seats down and 1,266 litres is available. The 1.5R Impreza SW is an efficient and workmanlike family car, not with the buzz of its siblings perhaps, but well engineered and attractively priced, although running costs look a bit high.Subaru's very good warranty should provide peace of mind.FAST FACTSSubaru Impreza 1.5R Sports WagonPrice: £12,510Mechanical: 105bhp, 1,498cc, 4cyl petrol engine driving all four wheels via 5spd manual gearboxMax speed: 109mph0-62mph: 13.7 secsCombined mpg: 35.8Insurance group: 9CO2 emissions: 184g/kmBiK rating: 23%Warranty: 3yrs/ 60,000 miles, 3yrs paint, 12yrs anti-rust Words: John Scantlebury Keywords: subaru, impreza Rate this article: Login to rate this article... Andy Enright Takes A Look At The Latest 2.0R ModelTheres no doubt that a sort of cult has built up around the Subaru Impreza, buoyed up by the rally success, the long line of ever faster turbocharged cars and the awesome all-weather performance. The trouble is when many buyers are old enough to be able to afford the insurance on a racy WRX model, theyve developed families, bellies and a sensible Audi A4/BMW 3 Series outlook on life. Something had to be done and the 2.0 R models are tasked with doing it. This car has pragmatism writ large across it. Offering much of the visual kick of the 2.5-litre turbocharged Impreza WRX, the 2.0R is resolutely insurance friendly as well as being practical enough to convince sceptical spouses that it represents a viable alternative to a Ford Focus. Build {'rating_Build'}.gif'> Comfort {'rating_Comfort'}.gif'> Depreciation {'rating_Depreciation'}.gif'> Economy {'rating_Economy'}.gif'> Equipment {'rating_Equipment'}.gif'> Handling {'rating_Handling'}.gif'> Insurance {'rating_Insurance'}.gif'> Performance {'rating_Performance'}.gif'> Styling {'rating_Styling'}.gif'> Value {'rating_Value'}.gif'> Theres a choice of saloon and five-door sportswagon bodystyles and both, of course, heavily feature the improvements introduced into the latest generation Impreza line-up. The exterior is distinctive and although the single nostril front grille brings to mind some coke-ravaged Z-list celeb, it combines well with the hawk-eye headlights to give the Impreza a more aggressive personality than ever before. Subaru seems to have jumped onto the clear lensed tail lights bandwagon just as most other manufacturers have jumped off and they dont do a lot to lift the impression of overall quality. Despite its many facelifts and revisions, the Impreza never feels like a thoroughly modern car. The doors clang shut, the trim feels cheap and hard in almost every area and the seating position is far from ideal. "Offering much of the visual kick of the 2.5-litre turbocharged Impreza WRX, the 2.0R is resolutely insurance friendly"Most of the attention given to the latest Impreza line-up has focused on the rocketship 2.5-litre turbocharged models but in doing so, its easy to overlook quite what a well-rounded package the Impreza 2.0R represents. No amount of rally replica body styling or PR puff about heritage can detract from the fact that with 158bhp under the bonnet, the R is well shy of the 170bhp Fiat Stilo Arbath and the 197bhp Skoda Octavia vRS that sell for comparable money. Nevertheless, theres a depth of engineering and fluency to the Impreza that the others lack. Whilst in the case of the Skoda and Honda, youre buying a breathed upon shopping hatch, with the Subaru youre effectively buying a stripped down version of the Impreza WRX. Where the R really scores is in its ability to distil all the genius of the WRX into a far more affordable package, and actually improve on it in certain areas. As befits true driving enthusiasts, the engineers at Subaru have spent most effort fine tuning the Imprezas engine, suspension, bodyshell and steering. As with so many evolutionary models, the latest generation Impreza range emerges as a better car, although perhaps not quite so exciting as the original first generation model. It certainly feels a more mature proposition. Driven back to back with the other Impreza models, you could argue the 2.0-litre R to be possibly the pick of the range. Whilst its obviously a fair degree tardier than the Impreza WRX, the saving of nearly £5,000 more than makes up for this. Drive one hard and youll realise youve got 80% of the WRXs abilities in a far more affordable package. For those buyers looking for something a little different to the usual family saloon or hatchback, it certainly merits further investigation. Certainly the steering, which in the WRX feels a tad numb at low speed, has an additional willingness to it in the 2. 0R, aided in no small part by the narrower tyres. These tyres also help to give a beautiful predictability to the handling, especially as youll delight in driving the car at ten-tenths of its capabilities most of the time. Wringing the power from the characterful boxer engine is something youll grow accustomed to, as the 2.0R will hit sixty in a nippy 8. 5 seconds on the way to a top speed of 130mph. You certainly couldnt call it slow and yet it will return over 40mpg on a long motorway run. With power steering, air conditioning, CD player, remote central locking, twin front and side airbags, a hill holder clutch, spoiler kit and 15" alloy wheels, the 2.0 R certainly doesnt want for standard equipment. Factor in a Category One remote alarm and immobiliser, sports seats and four-channel anti-lock brakes, and the 2.0R looks good value for its £16,225. Whilst some may decry the Subaru Impreza 2.0R as the tamest of sheep in wolfs clothing, the modest power output doesnt detract from the fun on offer. The R feels purer than any of the turbocharged models and makes a delightfully fluent B-road car. Whats more, it wont break the bank in terms of initial purchase or in running costs. With Subaru consistently scoring highly in ownership surveys, the 2.0R could well be the sort of car that offers the best of both worlds. With a responsible, practical side it appeals to the head and with its fun-biased all-wheel drive chassis and sweet responses, it does the same for the heart.Facts At A Glance CAR: Subaru Impreza 2.0 R PRICE: £16,225-£16,725 - on the road INSURANCE GROUP: 13 CO2 EMISSIONS: 214g/km PERFORMANCE:Max Speed 130mph/ 0-60mph 8.5s ECONOMY:(urban) 22.6 / (extra urban) 40.4 / (combined) 32.4mpg STANDARD SAFETY FEATURES: Drive and passenger airbags / ABS WILL IT FIT IN YOUR GARAGE?: Length/Width/Height, 4465/1740/1440mm Send by Messenger Email this article Print More news and reviews from Subaru More motoring news Message Boards - Talk about it Latest Videos Latest Message Board Threads Got an opinion?
