It has 4 good tyres. Both low and high settings work on the gearbox. Im confident there are no problems with the 4 wheel drive system as ive not managed to get stuck once! Bodywork in good condition a few stonechips on the bonnet nothing excessive, no evidence of any accident damage. No major dents/marks to mention. The interior is very plush with full leather heated seats, cruise control,electric windows, twin sunroof and climate control. All in good working order no electrical faults whatsoever. Ive used the towbar once and the electrics on that are ok too. Its a lovely car and great to drive only reason for selling it is Ive bought another legacy and dont have the space for two! The Subaru has permanent 4 wheel drive, which provides excellent traction in the wet, ice and snow (ideal for winter). It has an excellent sized boot, which is even bigger once you fold the seats down flat. I have all the manuals, V5 document and both sets of keys. This model is fully loaded with all the features including: Colour Touch Screen Sat Nav (Europe), Full length Sunroof, Alloy Wheels, Full Black Leather Interior, Power Steering, Electric Windows, Drivers Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Air Conditioning, Climate Control, Electric and heated front seats, Thatcham Cat 1 Alarm and Immobilser, 2-keys, all manuals. that time. New car and Christmas prevented the MOT renewal! As expected with a car of this age there are a few dings and dents - certainly nothing major. One scratch on the passenger side. The interior is good apart from a door handle and a piece of trim having been chewed by a previous owners dog! Everything works as far as I can see and the engine starts first time. There are only 3 of the origianal Subaru wheels! Currently two are on the fron with two steel wheels on the rear - the remaining alloy is in the boot! All tyres are good. As there is currently no MOT I am selling this as spares or repair - personally I can see no reason why this vehicle would not sale through a new MOT (but please be aware I am not an expert at all!) I`ve got the original Jap mileage cert somewhere.Condition is as shown- usual scuffs of a 15 year old car and a new bonnet dent on the intake courtecy of the Christmas storms (not shown).I`ve done my own maintainance - oil change (fully synthetic) every year, brakes tyres etc. Known faults are a blow (patched) in mid exhaust, drivers window switch is loose (fully functional though) and that`s all I can think of!Air con etc. all work as they should.It`s a brilliant car - 260 BHP makes it go very fast and the Bilstien suspension is well worth the premium over the standard legacy GT.No doubt there are things I`ve not mentioned so email me. fun and trouble free motoring since I have owned it, getting me to work easily through two snowy winters! I am sad to have to sell this car as it has served me and my family so well but unfortunately my commute to work has become nearly 100 miles per day so I had to change to a more economical diesel vehicle. It has the comfort of a family estate with the versatility of a 4x4, and the performance of a "hot hatch". | Additional Information | This is a UK spec model - NOT imported from Japan with only a few modifications which are easily reversed for someone that likes to keep their car standard. The previous owner was an elderly gentleman with an elderly dog who went everywhere with him. Sadly the dog chewed the drivers seat so I replaced both front seats with the more comfortable Imprezza bucket seats - unfortunately the smell of the old dog still lingers in the car regardless of how many times I have cleaned it but most people don`t notice this! I have had a Parrot bluetooth car kit, and rear parking sensors professionally installed. The car was in daily use until early November, and stood on my drive until the last week of January when I used it again for five days; when I first started it, it had a flat battery but after a jump start the battery did not go flat over the five days but when I took it off the road again I removed the battery and put it on a maintenance charger. I acquired the vehicle with a burned out clutch which I had changed for a genuine Subaru replacement, it had a pair of front wheel bearings and a rear anti roll bar link for its last MOT, and other than that and a couple of blown bulbs it has never gone wrong or let me down (touch wood!). It has the Subaru "hill holder" system which was disconnected by the garage when they fitted the clutch but could be re-connected by the buyer at their expense if required. It is currently fitted with the Summer 16" `gold` Subaru 5 spoke alloy wheels, and comes with an additional set of 14" `silver` Subaru alloy wheels for winter tyres (sadly the current tyres on the winter wheels are not road worthy). It has a full dealer service history until 2008 and lots of old receipts. The previous owner told me it had a cambelt in 2009 at around 150,000 - 160,000 and I have no reason to doubt him although I can find no receipt to prove this. It is MOT`d and taxed for 6 months. Also included in the sale is a genuine Subaru dog guard and platic boot liner. | The not so good bits... This car is 13 years old and has driven two thirds of the distance to the moon! Both front tyres are slightly worn on the outside edges but this did not fail its MOT and the guy said this is common for 4 wheel drive cars like Subarus. The bodywork is good for its year but has some small car park dents and stone chips, there are 2 small stone chips in the windscreen which could be repaired for free on your insurance - I never had them repaired because they never bothered me. There is a small crack on the front grill if you look really closely, and the interior is clean and tidy but not immaculate. So; if you are looking for a showroom condition car which is guaranteed not to let you down then I am sorry to say this car is not for you. If however you want a good fun, comfortable car which goes pretty much anywhere whatever the weather and has been very reliable in the past, then this could well be the car for you.
